Brassed On!
This is a documentary I produced in 2023 to commemorate the first Brassed On! event as part of Durham Brass Festival. The project was in partnership with NARC. Magazine and featured two local artists in Tom A. Smith and Sisi creating “one night only” collaborative performances with two world class brass bands: Loud Noises from Leeds and The Original Pinettes from New Orleans.
The aim was document the project, showcase highlights from each of the performances, and hear from the voices involved in bringing the whole thing together – including all of the artists, NARC. Magazine and Durham Brass themselves, who spearheaded the whole thing.
